Applied Crypto Symposium Silicon Valley 2018

Date: November 13, 2018
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Quantum computers will revolutionize many industries and will be powerful enough to break all commonly used public key cryptographic algorithms. It is not a question of if  your business will be affected, but when  and how will quantum computers impact your day-to-day operations and product architecture.

Utimaco is hosting the third edition of their Applied Crypto Symposium, which welcomes thought leaders, academics and industry experts from around the globe on this topic.

SecureRF’s CEO, Louis Parks, will be speaking at the Utimaco Applied Crypto Symposium Silicon Valley 2018 on November 13th, at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA.

His talk, titled Challenges in securing the IoT in a Post Quantum World, will discuss how some of our most important and critical IoT devices are very small and already proving to be a challenge to secure – and low-resource processors flooding many markets like automotive, embedded medical, the smart grid, and payments only make it even harder to trust your devices. He will discuss what “security” is, and what makes securing the IoT such a challenge, even against today’s hackers, with a specific focus on addressing security at the device level.  Then add quantum computers to the picture – and look at potential crypto tools and what may be available to address future security in the IoT.
